If you are one of the few people who don’t have a particular skill such as typesetting or marketing, have no fear; there are some skills that we acquire over the years that can be turned into a legitimate job which pays good money. There are domestic chores that we do growing up that are actual jobs done by adults. They may not pay the best salaries, but at least it’s a living wage and depending on where you work, you can actually earn quite a lot. Here are some suggestions for domestic chores that pay a salary:
Cleaning a House
This includes everything from sweeping the floor to vacuuming it, washing the bathrooms, mopping the floors and everything else that is included in keeping a house clean. There are plenty of house cleaning services that will be happy to take you in as an employee, and provided you do your job satisfactorily, you may even be able to rise within the ranks and become a manager.
Some companies also offer office cleaning services Dubai and these pay higher than cleaning a house because they require higher discretion and trust from the cleaners in case they see or hear something sensitive within an office. These deals are also fairly cushy as the equipment for cleaning will be electronic and motorized and mostly involve cleaning carpets and bathrooms on each floor.
Mowing a Lawn and Shovelling Snow
Granted there are no fixed jobs for these two but there are plenty of unskilled employees who do gardening services such as weeding, watering, pruning, trimming and debugging. They may not have specific knowledge about each of the plants but they can do all of the manual labour in the upkeep of the garden. It is also a job that is available for three seasons of the year.
During winter months, the same gardener can shovel snow each morning off of the paths and clear roadways, roofs etc. In countries that do not experience snow, the ‘winter’ months is usually marked by heavy rainfall, during which grass and other weeds grow with abandon. In these months, a garden will have to be weeded nearly every week or so to prevent the other plants from getting overrun and also dig channels around the flower beds to drain excess water.
Wash and Dry Clothes
This is rarer in the suburbs where most houses have their own washing machines and probably dry their clothes in the sun, but in the cities where apartments barely have room for a bed (let alone a washer/dryer unit), residents take their clothes to a Laundromat. Some laundromats have operators who will watch for the clothes to wash, dry them in the dryer and fold them into a bag for the owner to return. Others usually have a single manager to ensure that all the users of the laundromat use the machines properly and pay the right amount. Some laundromats will even pick up and drop off the laundry for an extra fee.
